Keeping active has been shown to have many health benefits, physically and mentally, and it may even help us to live longer.
What’s great is that there are so many different forms of physical activity we can do, from running and swimming to jogging, walking, dancing and even climbing the stairs. Any activity that involves movement which gets your muscles working and burns calories counts.
There are so many reasons why we should all keep active and as we move into winter, it is crucial that we find ways to keep moving.
When you look at what exercise does for you it really does make sense to do it!
So, what does exercise do?
It can make you feel happier, help with weight loss, improve energy levels, reduce your risk of chronic disease, improve skin health, help with brain health and memory, help with relaxation and quality of sleep, reduce pain, promote a better sex life and is good for muscles and bones.
Well, that should be enough to convince you to get your exercise regime on track this winter!
