February is the month of love and why not make it the month to love yourself and commit to improving your fitness and health?
Perhaps you started the year with good intentions and made the usual New Year resolutions to tackle your wellbeing and fitness, and maybe set yourself some goals. You are certainly not alone in this, or in possibly failing to follow through on those goals.
So as we move into February and Valentine’s Day approaches fast, why not get into a fitness routine. You could pair up with a partner or friend, but if not just set yourself some realistic goals and make a start.
It’s all well and good having great intentions, but you need to get into a good routine. This could be helped by setting out your goals, visualising them and even writing them down.
We’ve all done it, and indeed do it, but try to stop making excuses and finding reasons not to exercise. Having someone to exercise with can help with this a lot.
Of course, it’s always important to be kind yourself and while taking your training seriously, you should always find time to treat yourself. February is definitely the month to do this. So, book a meal out or a pamper session, just remember to exercise too.
What’s great about this time of year is that we can put January behind us and the weather generally starts to improve and the days begin to get longer. This helps us to focus on exercise, and can also give us a much-needed energy boost.
It’s a time to look forward to the year ahead and also to start thinking about, and booking, holidays. This is another motivation for getting fitter and healthier.
