How to make sure you fit exercise into your busy schedule

So you have decided you want to exercise more, but your schedule is so busy you are not sure how you are going to make room to do this.


Well, there are many easy ways to fit exercise into your daily routine. Here’s a few of them:


  • Get up earlier and do a workout before breakfast – a short 10-minute intense workout will set you up for the day and can be done in your own home using a video.
  • Get out for an early morning walk.
  • Walk or cycle your commute to work.
  • Get up and move around when at work or home.
  • Walk around during phone calls.
  • Go for a lunchtime walk or jog.
  • Have meetings while walking – perhaps the colleagues you are meeting can join you and you can hold your meeting while all getting some fresh air and exercise.
  • Visit the gym after work, attend a fitness class or go for a swim.
  • Go for a walk in the evening.
  • Get active with the family – play football or another game that gets you all moving and having fun at the same time.
  • Have a boogie to the music at home.


No matter how busy your schedule is, it is important to take time out for yourself and for exercise.


Do something is always better than doing no exercise at all. Even if you only have a spare 10 or 15 minutes, get moving.


You will feel and look better by keeping active.
